David Akers has been named the starting kicker for Saturday night’s game against the Packers. This is an upset for Akers over Bill Cundiff. Harbaugh stuck with the company line, “he gives us the best chance to win”. I couldn’t agree more! David Akers deserves to be out there on Saturday. He was here last year and experienced the pain of defeat with this organization. That and I am a sucker for redemption.
